2. Real Reparations at Taste of Soul LA/Leimert Park: Our annual Reparations education and outreach at the Taste of Soul Festival in LA was a major success — with over 1 Million people in attendance, thousands of people saw, heard, and learned the truth about Real Reparations at the Festival, and then many also got to meet, greet, hear, and question community members championing Real Reparations in their own community after the festival.
3. CJEC at Pinole City Council: We presented to local officials about California’s Reparations updates and shared next steps for implementing SB 515, the bill we wrote to require cities and counties to collect lineage-based data, starting with public employees.
